Moorpark House was built in 1860 as one of three private residences for the Knox family, which at the time owned many of the mills in the Garnock Valley. Having fallen into a bad state of repair the property was acquired by the Local Authority in the 1980&rsquo, s and used as a training centre until 2003 when it was purchased by the present owner Graham Conrathe.
