Confort : The Garden House Hotel is a little jewel nestling at the heart of the village of St Margarets at Cliffe. Both the hotel and the extremely successful Bayleaf Restaurant are family-run and, as such, everyone prides themselves on going the extra mile to ensure that guests have a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Housed in a beautiful, traditional Kentish weather boarded building, parts of which date back to Elizabethan times, the hotel has a stylish, contemporary feel without compromising the charm of this delightful historic building. In winter, guests can warm themselves by our roaring log fire whilst in summer they are welcome to enjoy the sun in our pretty walled garden. Rooms are equipped with all modern conveniences and there is ample off-road parking at the hotel. Midweek Madness : Stay 2 consecutive nights in a superior or standard double and get the second night half price. Only apply Sunday to Thursday inclusive.
Equipements : The hotel has a relaxed, country house style and guests are encouraged to make themselves at home in our comfortable lounge. The Bayleaf restaurant at the hotel is very popular locally and early booking is recommended to ensure a table. The food is all freshly prepared from scratch using top quality free range or organic produce locally sourced wherever possible. The menu is seasonal and changes on the 1st of each month. The chef patron, Christopher Hall, describes his style as 'traditional English with a hint of fusion' - however it is described it certainly tastes delicious. Please note that the restaurant is closed on Sunday evening and all day Monday, but light snacks are available to residents if required. Alternative restaurants are available close by either within easy walking distance or a 2 minute drive by car.
